IPSF African Pharmaceutical Symposium (AfPS) 2019
This year, the IPSF AfPS will take place in Entebbe, Uganda. Last year, we had the pleasure of celebrating our 10th anniversary during the 7th IPSF AfPS which was held in Lagos, Nigeria. Uganda is a beautiful country located in East Africa. It is land-locked and neighbours Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, DRC and South Sudan. The 8th IPSF AfPS will take place from 19th to 29th July 2019. The venue will be the Imperial Hotel in Entebbe, Uganda.
The event will be divided into 3. That is; leaders in training (LIT) event, main symposium and post-symposium tour. The LIT will take place from 19th – 20th July. It involves the training of our members with skills such as proposal writing, personal branding, emotional intelligence and time management. The delegates who attend the LIT will be issued with certificates at the end of the 2-day training. The cost of the LIT is 100USD.
The main symposium will take place from 21st-26th July 2019. This theme will be A new health era: Pharmacy Practice and the evolving epidemiological landscape. We will have informative plenary sessions and side events such as patient counselling event. We will also have some evening events to encourage networking between delegates from different countries and cultures. For example, the cultural night where delegates don their traditional regalia and perform a traditional dance. There will also be a Ugandan night where delegates get to have a first-hand experience of the Ugandan culture, dressing and traditional food. You do not want to miss this!!!
The registration process for the conference is simple. Visit http://www.afps2019.org/register/ to register. The reception committee will contact you via email after registration with details about payment. We have 3 registration and payment phases for the event as shown below.
The delegates will also have a chance to attend the post-symposium tour so as to see more of Uganda. This will take place right after the main symposium. The cost will be 100USD for the 3-day tour taking place from 27th-29th July. For the delegates interested in attending the IPSF World Congress taking place in Rwanda, the reception committee will provide a provision for transport to Kigali (this may be subject to extra costs).
