PHARMA + AI: When Healthcare Embraces the Digital Frontier

In today’s world, technology is like a tree growing in the desert, with its roots spread deep into all areas of the earth. Now, you can do almost anything from the comfort of your bed; like writing an article about artificial intelligence in healthcare.

Speaking of AI, there are millions of software and programs developed to assist in literally anything. From as formal as creating business presentations, to less formal like creating TikTok videos, AI’s got you covered.

So, then, what if we, in the healthcare field also hopped on this AI bus and advanced our practice? Artificial intelligence (AI) is already transforming the pharmaceutical industry. AI-powered algorithms can now analyze massive datasets of chemical compounds and biological data to identify new drug targets and design new drug candidates at an unprecedented pace.

One of the most exciting applications of AI in pharma is in the development of smart pills. And I don’t mean that your pills have a mind of their own (though that would be pretty cool). I are equipped with tiny sensors that can collect data about the patient's body, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature. This data can then be transmitted to a doctor or other healthcare provider, who can use it to monitor the patient's progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed.

With AI's help, we could see a world where everyone has access to personalized, effective, and affordable healthcare. It could also lead to revolutionized drug discovery where the process is shortened and we do not have to do as much work.

“That's the future of pharma + AI. I believe that we should all look into AI, especially with the thousands of short courses coming up to equip us with the necessary skills to get acquainted. We’d rather get on board than get left behind!”
